Ingredients
  • ½ cup makhanas

  • 1 teaspoon ghee

  • ¾ cup water

  • Organic sugar or Jaggery, fruit puree or dates syrup (as per choice)

Preparation Method
  1. Cut the lotus seeds and keep them aside.

  2. Heat ghee in a shallow pan and roast makhanas for 2 to 3 minutes.

  3. Add water and cook until makhanas turn mushy and gooey.

  4. Add any sweetener for a sweet taste.

  5. The makhana kheer or porridge can be churned into a mixture for a smoother texture.
